Museum of the City of Łódź – educational animations

About the project

The Museum of the City of Łódź commissioned a series of educational animations for its permanent exhibition dedicated to the city’s ties with Europe. The animations were designed to explain complex industrial mechanisms in an accessible way — for all age groups, including children.

Scope

The project involved producing motion graphics animations illustrating the operation of period industrial equipment — including a diagram of the steam engine that played a central role in Łódź’s emergence as an industrial hub in the nineteenth century.

The animations were produced in the visual language of the exhibition — dark backgrounds, bold line graphics, and on-screen narration synchronised with the movement of mechanical components.

Outcome

The materials were integrated into the permanent exhibition and are displayed at dedicated thematic stations. The animations work as self-contained, self-explanatory pieces — no narrator, no prior technical knowledge required.
