About the project
Hołda is a construction company from Bojano, operating in the industry since 1997. They specialise in waterproofing, drainage, and machinery rental — serving clients across the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Tricity area.
Before the redesign, the company had a static HTML/CSS website — an outdated business card that reflected neither the scale of the business nor the breadth of its services. No CMS meant every change required contacting a developer. No structure meant a client looking for a specific service had to wade through a single page listing everything at once.
Three departments, three subpages
The first architectural decision was splitting the offering into three independent sections:
- Building waterproofing – foundations, walls, cellars, septic tanks, injection methods
- Drainage and water management – perimeter drainage, garden drainage, stormwater systems, ditches
- Machinery rental and earthworks – excavations, soil removal, site preparation
Each department got its own subpage with a dedicated description and service scope. A client arriving with a specific problem — say, a damp foundation — lands in exactly the right place instead of scrolling through a long mixed list.
Filterable project gallery
The company has built up an extensive portfolio over the years. Rather than dumping everything into one block of images, I built a gallery with category filtering: All / Waterproofing / Drainage / Machinery.
One click to see only the relevant project type. Simple — but it makes a real difference for someone looking for proof that the company handles their kind of job.
Decap CMS – independence from the developer
For a company that has been operating in the field for nearly 30 years, simple content management is essential. Decap CMS connected to a Git repository gives the client a browser-based panel: add a project, upload photos, write a description — no code required.
New projects appear on the site without any involvement from me. The client has full autonomy over their content.
Web design from scratch
The old site had no consistent visual identity. The new design uses a clean layout with dark accents, legible typography free of unnecessary ornament, and a conversion-focused structure — phone number visible immediately, contact form with service type selection.
The website is built to work for the business. No room for decorative elements that don’t lead to contact.
